The special effects were great. If this were the only criteria based my opinion of a movie (as many of my friends do), then Transformers would be a success. I think Transformers will be well recieved by die hard Transformers fans and teenagers. But the characters were weak, the Turturo character was annoying and stupid, and the robot fighting scenes were headache inducing. They looked like giant spinning junkyards in the middle of a city. Many of the actions sequences in the finale were confusing at times too. I couldn't tell which robots were which when they were unfurled from their vehicular state. In conclusion, despite its flaws,the effects were awesome, the cars were cool, and Megan Fox mashing on Shia will give hope to nerds everywhere.
